irc meetings

for those unversed, irc is a text-based chat system.

recommended irc software:

install one of the above irc clients and log in to the following:

server: irc.freenode.net channel: #dorkbot

Some things that need to be done

• people need to buy tickets
  • encourage them! updating wiki might help...
• wiki to be updated with latest info, for example latest bus, train info
  • greenman to work on the wiki on thursday
  • alex will have a look before that, adding links to previous year's videos and photos etc
• food + waitrose order
  • evan to try to get the menus sorted
  • lets aim to get the final list of ingredients the weekend before
  • we need final camper numbers to get the quantities right!
• logistics need sorting
  • Alex will go by train but have a projector and lots of tarpaulin that needs driving down really
  • Greenman is driving but will have quite a full car
  • Adrian (fon) is driving and will have some space for people + kit
• equipment list needs sorting, for kitchen and for presentations
  • small PA or hi-fi
  • pots and pans
• we need someone to organise the bar
  • is helena going to do cocktails? we need booze list if so

- I would still love to do cocktails. I have NO time to research any particular recipes. I will be bringing some flavored syrups, a bottle or two of spirits, and several books with cocktail recipes. Happy to help folks concoct tasty things from whatever people end up bringing. Will update the wiki to this effect soon...(lena)

  • we could order some beer from waitrose too
• a few days before the event we need to draw up a CampersGuide to send round to everyone
