"Microcontrollers for Absolute Beginners" I'll use the Picaxe range of microcontrollers to introduce the use of microcontrollers. The workshop will include soldering some components to a board and then programming the microcontroller using a cut-down version of Basic. The workshop will be aimed at absolute beginners - no experience with electronics, soldering or programming required. If enough people take part, I'd like to use the circuits in a big collaborative art installation at the end of the camp. Hand-made felt making, with the potential of doing a large project that would require dragging around and rolled for some time. If any one has a horse we can do it in true mongolian style. I have only one set of carders, so comb making would also be required. I am trying to source some sheep[fleece] for authenticity, otherwise I have [grey only] pre washed wool.
